Poteto Playground Introduction

Poteto Playground is the page at poteto.com, announced on X on October 27, 2026 by Tibo (Thibault Sottiaux), who leads product for ChatGPT and Codex at OpenAI, with the post "poteto.com has landed". The page is a small toy rather than a tool: twenty potato characters in costumes such as a crown, a chef hat, sunglasses or a pirate patch hop around a green field. Tap one and it turns around to show a potato pun, such as "My mixtape is all mashups". One potato, picked at random each round, is the lucky one: it throws confetti, says "Hooray, you found me!" and opens ChatGPT five seconds later, unless you press the replay button first. The name is a nod to @poteto, the X handle of engineer Lauren Tan, who often trades jokes with Tibo online. There is no sign-up, no ads and nothing to buy.

Poteto Playground Key Features

Twenty Costumed Potatoes

Each potato has its own outfit and color and hops around the screen; tap or click one to flip it over.

A Joke Under Every Potato

Every potato hides a short potato pun, from "I paint exclusively in gravy" to "Wanted for grand theft ketchup".

Find the Lucky Potato

One random potato per round is the winner: confetti, a "Hooray, you found me!" note and a trip to ChatGPT after five seconds.

Replay Anytime

A replay button reshuffles the field and cancels the redirect, so you can keep looking for the lucky one.
